A lot of what I shoot is what I call "found art". I never leave home without at least one camera and I shoot at least one photograph every day. I rarely plan my photography, preferring instead to find beauty and inspiration (not always the same thing) in the world around me.
I prefer film to digital, although I use both, depending on the situation. I like high end cameras, toy cameras and arcane cameras. I use experimental techniques and I believe photography is most effective when it looks, not like reality but like a heightened version of reality. That said, I very rarely enhance my images digitally. It's much easier and more gratifying to try and capture the magic in the camera rather than trying to add it later. Sometimes the cameras and techniques I use have undesirable artifacts as well as desirable ones. Since I use toy cameras, old cameras, pinhole, TTV and other "low fi" cameras and techniques, you will occasionally find scratches, dust (particularly in TTV work) and other "imperfections" in my work. I typically leave these untouched as they are part of the authentic, handmade product and experience.
All prints are made with Supra Portra Endura or Metalic Endura archival paper which is guaranteed for 100 years if stored in daylight and 200 if stored indoors.
